Contraindications, post-procedure and aftercare Information

Contraindications

Pre-treatment advice, limitations and warnings.

Please read carefully before undertaking any treatments with us.

  • Allergy to cyancobalamin or cobalt.
  • Hypokalemia (low potassium levels).
  • Kidney disease.
  • Polycythemia vera (a rare blood disorder).
  • Leber’s disease (an eye disease).
  • Deficiencies in other nutrients, particularly folic acid and iron.

Post Procedure Advice

Information about what to expect straight after your treatment.

You may find that chin, temple and cheek fillers are less likely to cause swelling. This is because the filler is placed deeper or above bone or cartilage, and the swelling is therefore somewhat hidden. You may still see a bit of swelling and bruising, but it shouldn’t be too pronounced.

Lip fillers, on the other hand, are much more likely to cause some level of swelling, because lip tissue is fairly delicate. Don’t be alarmed if your lips look slightly fuller than you expected directly after treatment. By day three, the swelling should be improved.

Aftercare Advice

Information about what to do and not do after your treatment.

For 24 hours after your treatment, your brows are still settling into their new shape. That’s why we ask you to try and avoid anything that might disturb the process.

DO

  • Stay away from your brows for the first 24 hours! Don’t be tempted to touch them!
  • Make sure that when your brows get wet after the first 24-48 hours, that you set them with your complimentary brow comb, otherwise they will lose their shape!
  • Maintain your brow lift every 12 weeks.
  • Use caster oil every night to keep the hair strong and to prevent any hair loss from the treatment.
  • If any hairs fall out of place during the setting period, use the complimentary stick to put them back into place.

DON’T

  • Touch, rub or wet your brows within the first 24-48 hours.
  • Towel dry your brows!
  • Use sunbeds, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours.
  • Do any excessive exercise for 24 hours.
