The Surgical Connections Story

Surgical Connections was born out of my own personal cosmetic surgery journey, which started with my first visit to Turkey in 2018, when the surgeon was recommended to me by a friend who had previously undergone a procedure with him, and as with many of us, I preferred a word of mouth recommendation as it reassured me of what I could expect and made the process of finding a trustworthy surgeon less daunting.

I was happy with all the information she gave me and was pleased with her results, so I decided to take the plunge and go on my own for the first time. People thought I was crazy, but I followed my instincts, and now I know it was meant to be!
I returned over-the-moon with the results, and subsequently went back for more surgery over the coming years, each one performed with the same level of professionalism and each one giving me excellent results.

I wanted to be able to help other people with their own journeys, as I know first-hand just how difficult and treacherous finding a reliable surgeon can be, so I became a consultant for him and now help make the connection between patient and doctor, so that others can benefit from his excellent work.

I personally go to Turkey twice a year in a supporting role, taking patients to appointments and offering aftercare advice, so for anyone who is interested in having surgery and would like me to be there to guide them through the process, please get in touch and I can let you know which dates I will be going and arrange for you to get an estimate of costs.

SURGICAL

Fill in the medical history form below and attach X-ray photographs to be evaluated by the dentist.
A FaceTime consultation will be arranged, where you can ask any questions you might have and the dentist will explain the process and give an estimate cost for the procedure.
Once accepted for your chosen procedure and a 20% deposit has been paid, you must book your flights and pre determined hotel and provide flight information to us so that the transfer arrangements can be made.
Upon arrival, the arranged transfer will take you from the airport to the hotel, which is roughly a 30 minute drive to the dentist.

The morning of the procedure, you will be picked up by transfer and to taken to your dentist appointment, where pre-operative preparations are made including x-rays.
Depending on the treatment plan to be performed, you will stay in Istanbul for up to 6 days, and you will be picked up and dropped off to the hotel each day.
At the end of treatment the dentist will discuss all necessary information, what you can and can’t do in the short-term and long term after having treatment.
On the day of departure, you are picked up from the hotel by transfer and returned to the airport, ready for your flight home.

On the day of departure, you are picked up from the hotel by transfer and returned to the airport, ready for your flight home.

Surgical Connections Packages

Surgical Connections treatment packages are tailored specifically to your requirements, as per the information we receive from you during the consultation phase. The price of your package takes into consideration the type of treatment you are having, the length of your stay and your budget.

Please note that flights to Turkey and travel insurance are not included in the price of your package, you must book these separately and provide us with your flight details.

GHIC cards are not valid in Turkey, so separate insurance is highly recommended.

Our medical team is based in the Başkent University Hospital Altunizade in Istanbul, Turkey, one of 9 TS-EN ISO 9001:2015 certified hospitals across the country, belonging to Başkent University. Put into service in 2007 it is a modern and well-equipped healthcare facility, that strives for exemplary patient care standards and continuous development in medical technologies, performance, and health legislation.

The Başkent University Hospital Altunizade is where our doctors perform all hair transplant, plastic surgery and gastric sleeve procedures. Dental surgery is performed at the nearby specialist dental practice of Anadolu Yakası Diş Polikliniği, which is just a 20-minute drive away.

Both facilities are state-of-the-art and uncompromising when it comes to patient care, hygiene standards and professionalism.

Accommodation

Surgical Connections treatment packages include accommodation at the Holiday Inn Express Altunizade, which is located near to the Başkent University Hospital.

All rooms include air-con, a modern bathroom, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle with tea and coffee set up, a fridge, and a safe deposit box.

Daily buffet-style breakfast and use of the gym are included in your price, and the hotel features a roof-top terrace on which to relax and enjoy views of the city.
